Shout has always been my favourite TFF song, but Listen is the one song that frequently stops me in my tracks when I hear it.

Gurn

The best track is Mothers Talk. It had those heavy, Trevor Horn-style Fairlight effects. I remember my first listen was just mesmerising. It’s hard to imagine now, but music was changing significantly at the time. It was so bloody exciting!

Donovan

I like Everybody Wants To Rule The World the most.

Liz Ferguson

I like shout the best

The Working Hour….

Don

“I Believe” I want that 2014 Mix!

Russell Emberson

one of the best albums of the 80’s

Analogue

Although not a favourite with the band itself and generally not an overwhelming fan favourite, the original version of ‘Mothers Talk’ would take the top spot if I had to choose.

“Put your head right next to my heart,
The beat of the drum is the fear of the dark”

Just excellent!

Charmian Filewood

Really liked “Everybody Wants To Rule The World”. Simple pop song with an eye catching video. Perfect.

Head over heels definitely. I loved that Richard Kelly used that track in his movie, Donnie Darko.

Stephen.J.Tilney

I absolutely love this album , I purchased it on its original day of release and have enjoyed it ever since.
I would go for (The Preacher Mix) as my favourite recording.
Keep up the good work at ‘Super Deluxe Edition’.
Have a super christmas….

David TW

Shout, shout, let it all out. This is a boxset I can’t do without. Come on. I’m talking to you, come on!

Brian

There are so many good tracks on this record that it’s hard to pick just one. So easy to pick Shout or Head Over Heels or one of the staple singles I love. At the end of the day, I really think my favourite track on this one is the one that I kept listening to over and over again that year — ‘The Working Hour’. Something about the musicality of it just spoke to me and the mournful sax solo at the end is beautiful. In fact, I think I will go listen to it now!

Dave Van MusicMaster

love this album :D

Favourite track is probably “The Working Hour” – often turned up very loud on the iPod … I’ll never grow tired of this album.

I’ve still got my cassette of this album from 1985 – it squeaks a little, but still plays OK :D

Chris Hopkins

One of the first singles I ever bought was “Everybody Wants To Rule The World”. It has never dated for me and remains one of the big zeitgeist moments of the 80’s.

Lee Trathan

Head Over Heels is a fantastic song – part of the reason why I love the film Donnie Darko so much!

Sam Stevens

this album was one of the very few LPs we had in the sixth-form common room and it was a constant background hum to my teenage moods –
‘shout shout let it all out’ – indeed. good times.

Albert

Head Over Heels is the one for me. The lyrics are great and so emblematic of that time in my life. Those lyrics, plus that piano hook and the guitar that goes on top of it just makes it real winner to my ears. To me, this is what pop music should be.

Daniel

It’s a really tough one but my favourite song has to be Shout, but it could easily be Mother’s Talk! Great album.

Keith Lambert

A timeless masterpiece….and as an added bonus, it makes me feel like I’m 18 again! :)

Paul

“Everybody Wantsd To Rule The World really takes me back to my high school and college days. I use to come home late at night and before I would go to bed I would turn on MTV. I would typically see this video everytime…. gives me that warm and fuzzy. Love these guys. It also takes me back to a time when Dennis Miller had a talk show on HBO. His opening theme song was “Everybody Wants To Rule The World.” Love, Love, Love this song… and entire album.

Thanks guys!!!!
