Jethro Tull / Bursting Out: The Inflated Edition CD, DVD

Jethro Tull’s first live album, 1978’s Bursting Out (actually issued as Jethro Tull Live: Bursting Out) will be reissued in June as a 3CD+3xDVD deluxe set with the appropriate suffix ‘The Inflated Edition’.

Rhino continue with their Joni Mitchell Archives reissue programme with The Asylum Albums 1976-1980 which delves into Joni Mitchell’s jazz-inflected sound on her 1970’s studio albums.

Sade / Vinyl reissues Vinyl

The second and final batch of standalone Sade vinyl reissues are issued this week. The albums in question are Love Deluxe (1992) , Lovers Rock (2000) and Soldier of Love. All black vinyl with no bonus material.


Daryl Hall / D

Daryl Hall returns for the first time in over a decade with his new solo project, D. The album was produced by Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart.


Grateful Dead / From the Mars Hotel (50th anniversary)

This Grateful Dead‘s 1974 studio album is expanded for its 50th anniversary to include the Dead’s nearly complete, previously unreleased show from 12 May 1974, at the University of Nevada in Reno. ‘Zoetrope’ vinyl LP also available (album only).

Marcella Detroit / Jewel (2CD set)

After her success in Shakespears Sister, Marcella Detroit (formerly Marcy Levy) issued, in 1994, what was her second solo album, Jewel. Produced by Chris Thomas and with contributions from the likes of Elton John and Phil Manzanera, the album delivered three top 40 UK singles including the #11 hit ‘I Believe’. The new 2CD set offers a generous helping of bonus tracks on the second disc and this album is also reissued on ‘sapphire blue’ coloured vinyl LP.
