Pete Townshend / The Studio Albums

Pete Townshend will release a new CD box set compiling all of his studio albums in one set, for the first time.

Aptly titled, The Studio Albums is an 8CD set that features all seven of Townshend’s official solo long-players. These are: Who Came First (1972), Rough Mix (1977), Empty Glass (1980), All The Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes (1982), White City (A Novel) (1985), Iron Man (1989) and 1993’s Pyschoderelict (1993).

There is nothing previously unreleased within, although the box does include a bonus CD that features the “music only” version (i.e. no dialogue) of the theatrical Psychoderelict and the audio has been newly remastered by Jon Astley.

Pete Townshend / Live in Concert 1985 – 2001

Artwork is by Townshend collaborator Richard Evans, sleeve notes from Matt Kent, and the 28-page booklet features and exclusive foreword from Pete Townshend. The packaging looks to be consistent with the excellently presented Live in Concert box, from last year.

The Studio Albums will be released via UMR on 28 March 2025.
