Tom Tom Club / Let There Be Love

Rhino are to release Let There Be Love a new Tom Tom Club box set that collects six studio albums.

The Talking Heads side project was formed by Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth in 1981 by and Tom Tom Club are best known for their UK top 10 hit ‘Wordy Rappinghood’ and the US top 40 hit ‘Genius of Love’, both of which were from their ’81 eponymous debut, which is obviously included in this 6CD box set.

The other albums are Close to the Bone (1983), Boom Boom Chi Boom Boom (1988), Dark Sneak Love Action (1991), The Good, The Bad, and The Funky (2000), and Downtown Rockers (2012).

Boom Boom Chi Boom Boom appears to be the US version which omits three tracks from the UK version but adds some others and there’s no bonus tracks on any of the CDs, such as 12-inch mixes.

There is also no available outside North America at the moment. Whether that will change remains to be seen. A 7LP vinyl box is also available at around $200.

Let There Be Love will be released on 24 July 2026.
