Siouxsie and the Banshees’ 2004 B-sides collection Downside Up will be issued on vinyl for the first time in November.

This set brings together 49 studio recordings from the band’s career which have been remastered from the original tapes and cut to lacquer by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios. The 5LP box includes a 32-page booklet featuring a new introduction from Siouxsie, lyrics, commentary from Siouxsie and Severin and imagery drawn from the band’s original single artwork.

Downside Up – 5LP box set

CD fans are not left out since Downside Up is also reissued on Compact Disc. However, this time it’s a 3CD not 4CD set because The Thorn EP tracks, which were included as a fourth disc in the 2004 release are not included, either here on or the 5LP version (apparently plans are underway for a separate reissue). Similarly, two live tracks from LA radio station KROQ’s ‘Acoustic Christmas’ show in 1991 (‘Swimming Horses’ and Velvet Underground cover ‘All Tomorrow’s Parties’ – both issued on the ‘O Baby’ single) are also omitted from the 2026 reissue.

The new CD packaging is also different, as you might expect. 2004’s longbox styling is replaced by a clamshell package, which comes with a 68-page booklet which presumably shares the content of the vinyl booklet.

Downside Up will be released on 20 November 2026, via UMR / Polydor.
