a-ha / Foot of the Mountain vinyl reissue
2009 album back on vinyl
a-ha’s 2009 album, Foot of the Mountain, will be reissued on vinyl next month.
The band’s ninth studio long-player saw them return to a more synth-based sound, echoing their production for the hits from the 1980s, such as ‘Take On Me’, ‘The Sun Always Shines on TV’ and ‘Cry Wolf’.
The title track reached the top 10 in Germany and Norway and the album was well received by critics and fans alike. Highlights include the dark opener ‘The Bandstand’, the perky ‘Riding The Crest’, the melodic ‘Shadowside’ and the driving ‘Mother Nature Goes to Heaven’.
Foot of the Mountain received a fairly limited vinyl release at the time, but it didn’t hang around for long. Therefore, this new edition, pressed on ‘crystal clear’ vinyl, will undoubtedly be welcomed.
Foot of the Mountain clear vinyl pressing will be released on 6 December 2024, via UMR
