Amy Winehouse’s 2006 album Back to Black is being reissued for its 20th anniversary as an SDE exclusive blu-ray audio
The album was a huge critical and commercial success, reaching No 1 In the UK, and going on to be the best-selling album of 2007. It’s now the second best selling album of this century in the UK (behind Adele’s 21). Lead single ‘Rehab’ was a transatlantic top 10 hit and Back to Black won ‘Best Pop Vocal Album’ at the 2008 Grammys, with Winehouse collecting a further four awards that night.
The SDE blu-ray features the Dolby Atmos Mix of Back to Black (created by Oli Morgan) and Miles Showell’s 2018 stereo remaster which was prepared at Abbey Road Studios for the half-speed vinyl pressing issued in that year.

Additionally, the blu-ray features 17 bonus tracks (stereo only) including unreleased demos, rare B-sides and ‘Valerie‘ performed live at BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge.
This region-free blu-ray features brand new alternative cover artwork and a 16-page booklet featuring never before-seen photos by original album photographer Mischa Richter, plus new quotes from album producers Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi. Unseen imagery is also featured during the visual playback of this blu-ray.
Back to Black is #74 in the ongoing SDE Surround Series and will be packaged similarly to previous editions (clear amaray case) and ships with a free, collectible SDE Surround Series slipcase. There may be some availability of this blu-ray in the Amy Winehouse shop (without the slipcase).
The SDE blu-ray audio is TIME LIMITED release; the pre-order window closes at midnight GMT on 15 September 2026. Availability after that point cannot be guaranteed.
Back to Black is reissued on 23 October 2026 via UMR/Island.
