Athlete / Tourist 20th anniversary reissue

2CD deluxe and 2LP vinyl

Athlete’s 2005 album Tourist will be reissued in March to mark the album’s 20th anniversary.

The album was the follow-up to the band’s Mercury Prize-nominated debut, Vehicles and Animals, and reached number one in the UK album chart. Lead single ‘Wires’ won the 2006 Ivor Novello award for best contemporary song, and became the group’s highest charting single, peaking at number four on the UK singles chart (their only top 10 hit in the Britain).

The album will be reissued as a 2CD deluxe edition and as a double vinyl package, both featuring a new remaster by Phil Kinrade. The former contains rarities and B-sides together for the first time on CD and is packaged in deluxe casebound book packaging, with sleeve notes from Chris Salmon. The 2LP set is album-only and pressed on 140g vinyl.

Tourist will be released on 28 March 2025 via Chrysalis.
