Mike Oldfield / Tubular Bells 2003 reissue

CD and coloured vinyl

Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells 2003 is being reissued in May.

Released by Warner Music Spain back in, you guessed it, 2003, the album was a re-recording of the 1973 original, released to mark its 30th anniversary. John Cleese replaced Viv Stanshall as Master of Ceremonies (Stanshall died in 1995 in a house fire, in London).

Tubular Bells related projects top and tailed Oldfield’s 20+ year tenure at Warners, since the Trevor Horn produced Tubular Bells II had been Mike’s first album with the label back in 1992, and the self-produced Tubular Bells 2003 was his last (Tubular Bells III was released in ’98).

For this reissue the album is simply issued on CD and as a blue vinyl pressing. No real frills and certainly no bonus material (or even talk of remastering).

Tubular Bells 2003 will be released on 23 May 2025, via Warner Music Spain
