Parlophone acknowledge Pet Shop Boys blu-ray issues

Following fan feedback, some of it via SDE, Parlophone have issued a statement about the Pet Shop Boys A man from the future blu-ray.

The issues, which affect all blu-rays, include an incorrect version of ‘Natural wonders every child should know’ on the ‘no narration’ Atmos Mix, missing drums on ‘He dreamed of machines’ (on the same ‘no narration’ Atmos), and apparent vocal sync issues on both the standard and ‘no narration’ Atmos mixes.

These will be looked into and “resolved” with band/label publishing the following statement, yesterday.

“Parlophone are investigating production issues which have unfortunately created problems with certain tracks on the “A man from the future” Blu-ray. PSB have just been made aware of these and apologise for the disappointment caused. Once these issues are resolved, Parlophone will manufacture and distribute replacement discs to those who have purchased the Blu-ray. Details on how to apply for a replacement disc will be shared as soon as we have them.”

SDE will advise when there is more details on this. For now, whether you have bought the standard blu-ray via Amazon (or similar channels) or the exclusive slipcased version via SDE or the PSB site, keep hold of your blu-ray and await further instructions, since as per the statement, replacement discs will be issued.
