Paul Weller / Weller at the BBC Vol. 2 3LP vinyl box set

Paul Weller has announced Weller At The BBC Vol. 2 a 3CD or 3LP vinyl set that collects tracks recorded for the Beeb between 2008-2024.

The set covers a period of creative rejuvenation for Weller, with eclectic and expansive albums including 22 Dreams (2008), Sonik Kicks (2012), True Meanings (2018) and On Sunset (2020) which saw him embrace pastoral folk, psych-soul Krautrock, electronica, dub and jazz influences. Weller also looks to his past, performing songs from his days with The Jam and The Style Council, as well as a smattering of early solo classics. There are also a bunch of cover versions, including his unexpected and soulful take on Billie Eilish’s ‘What Was I Made For?’.

The news won’t come as any surprise for eagle-eyed fans – Weller’s upcoming Record Store Day release is a double A-side single of BBC session tracks, ‘When Your Garden’s Overgrown’ (BBC Radio 2 In Concert 2015) / ‘Boy About Town’ (BBC Radio 2 In Concert 2019). When the single was announced, the German RSD site confirmed the tracks would be appearing on the 3CD Weller At The BBC – Vol. 2  – news which spread quickly across Weller’s socials. The two RSD tracks are among those that feature on the 3CD set (48 tracks) but don’t make the 3LP version (34 tracks) – for full details see tracklisting below.

Whereas the first volume was divided into “sessions” and “live” sets, each arranged chronologically, Weller At The BBC Vol. 2 flits between the years. And while Vol 1 was complimented by a standalone DVD and a completist-pleasing monster digital file set (188 mp3s), there are no signs of similar releases for Vol 2 at the moment. 

Weller At The BBC Vol. 2 is out 24 April 2026, via Parlophone.
