Simple Minds confirm Once Upon A Time reissue for 2025
Plus new US tour for 2025

Simple Minds have today announced a ‘Ruby Anniversary’ digital edition of their 1985 album Once Upon A Time, and at the same time promised “physical versions and other anniversary reissues” later this year.
The digital version is simply a remastered version of the album with the addition of the US No 1 single ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’, which comes between ‘Alive and Kicking’ and ‘Oh Jungleland’. It also features restored and slightly amended artwork.
All this activity coincides with news of a 24-date North America tour called Alive & Kicking 2025 Tour, where the band will be supported by Soft Cell and Modern English. To mark the occasion, Simple Minds will be performing ‘Don’t You (Forget About Me)’ on US TV’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! this Wednesday, 29 January.
In other Simple Minds news, the New Gold Dream (81-82-83-84) and Sparkle in the Rain SDE exclusive blu-rays will be released at the end of next week. There will be a small amount of availability of these sold-out releases in around seven days, and if you haven’t bagged a copy yet, you can add yourself to the waiting list by clicking on the ‘tell me if you get more stock’ button the on product pages on the SDE shop.
