Yes / Close to the Edge 5CD+blu-ray+LP super deluxe

Yes will soon release a super deluxe edition of their 1972 album, Close To The Edge, which includes a blu-ray with a new Dolby Atmos Mix from Steven Wilson.

Close To The Edge was the band’s fifth album, and their biggest success at the time of release. It would be the last album to feature original drummer Bill Bruford, who would join King Crimson, before his return in 1990. Close To The Edge was the band’s most ambitious album to that point and would find both critical and commercial success, reaching the top ten of both the UK and US album charts.

The super deluxe edition is a 5CD+blu-ray+LP box set. The album (on CD 1 and LP) has been newly remastered and the other CDs include Steven Wilson stereo remixes & instrumentals, rarities, and a 1972 live performance of the album from The Rainbow in London. The blu-ray features Dolby Atmos, 5.1 and new stereo mixes by Steven Wilson, as well as the stereo remaster. The 5.1 mix is new and not the same as what was issued on the Panegyric blu-ray/DVD-A releases of 2013.

Close To The Edge will be released on 7th March 2025 via Rhino.
