Gilbert O’Sullivan will release a new album Songbook, in September

The record features newly recorded versions of songs from Gilbert’s back catalogue, including classic hits such as ‘Alone Again (Naturally)’ and ‘Clair’. ‘Blue Anchor Bay’ is from 2022’s Driven (which was #3 in the SDE Surround Series) and there’s also a brand new track called ‘A Kiss is a Kiss’.

These are “paired down” versions, recorded at Lafayette, King’s Cross in late 2023 with Gilbert’s longtime friend, Bill Shanley on guitar and backing vocals.

The album is currently only available via Gilbert O’Sullivan’s online shop, but all formats ship with a signed art card.

Songbook is released on 27 September 2024, via BMG.
