Kate Bush / Best of The Other Sides

CD and coloured vinyl • A few small “tweaks”

Kate Bush will release a new compilation next month called Best of The Other Sides.

The Other Sides originally consisted of 12-inch mixes, B-sides and cover versions and took up the entirety of the Remastered in Vinyl IV box set in 2018. It was also available on CD in the second of the two CD box sets that were issued at the same time, and then released as a standalone 4CD set in March 2019.

What is effectively now a ‘highlights’ version doesn’t feature anything new, but there are some small changes. Kate says that ‘Experiment IV’ and ‘You Want Alchemy?’ have been remastered especially for this compilation and “both include a small edit”. Kate adds “I felt ‘Experiment IV’ would benefit from a longer intro featuring Alan Murphy’s magnificent guitar”.

Bush also says that The Sensual World CD bonus track ‘Walk Straight Down the Middle’ “has also benefitted from being re-eq’d” (remastered). “Hope you enjoy the tweaks!” is her final message.

Unfortunately, the full tracklisting of Best of The Other Sides has not been made available (update: as of 26 Sep, it’s now officially available – see below) but as well as the tracks above it will include Kate’s covers of ‘Rocket Man’, ‘The Man I Love’ as well as ‘Running Up That Hill’ B-side ‘Under The Ivy’. We do know there is 11 tracks in total, so that leaves five unaccounted for…

It will be released on 180g coloured ‘Lothlorien’ vinyl and on CD on 31 October 2025, via Fish People. You can ordered the coloured vinyl from the SDE shop.
