Neil Young and Crazy Horse / Barn

Neil Young and Crazy Horse will release a new studio album, Barn, in December.

The record features 10 new songs that capture “the raw, idiosyncratic rock and roll spirit and lyrical beauty that epitomises a classic Neil Young Crazy Horse collaboration”. The line-up is: Neil Young, Billy Talbot, Ralph Molina and Nils Lofgren.

The album was recorded this past summer, “under a full moon” and in a restored 19th century barn high up in the Rockies, which gives the album its name. You can preview ‘Song of the Seasons’, below.

The album is available on CD, vinyl and similar to previous Neil Young releases there’s a lift-off lid box set (a “numbered first pressing”) which brings together CD, vinyl and blu-ray. The blu-ray is a film of the band performing the songs live, directed by Daryl Hannah (aka Mrs Neil Young).

All the formats are available via Young’s ‘Greedy Hand’ shop, which also offers the blu-ray as a standalone product.

Barn is released on 10 December 2021.
