Pink Floyd / The Dark Side Of The Moon Japanese SACD

In addition to the previously announced 50th anniversary box set, and the Live at Wembley 1974 formats, Pink Floyd will release a Super Audio CD (SACD version) of their 1973 album The Dark Side Of The Moon.

This is a hybrid SACD that uses the same audio (5.1 surround and stereo) as on the Analogue Productions SACD from 2021. But the packaging is very different as this Japanese edition utilises the popular seven-inch deluxe format which faithfully replicates the UK original LP design (with the posters/stickers) but comes with loads of extra ‘stuff’ as listed below.

• The ‘golden OBI’ used for the four-channel Quad Mix in Japan (note: there is no Quad Mix on the SACD).

• The leaflet of the lyrics “The other side of the moon – works for all kinds of madmen -” distributed at the venue of 1972 tour in Japan
• Flyer announcing the 1972 tour in Japan (Osaka: Festival Hall)
• Promotional leaflet (handwritten by record company to promote “The other side of the moon”)
• Commemorative sticker (round sticker for the campaign to promote the band’s visit to Japan at that time)
