Win a copy!
Tom Petty’s 1994 album Wildflowers, was subject to an extensive reissue campaign back in late 2020, but the interest in the album continues with the release, today, on blu-ray of the Somewhere You Feel Free: The Making of Wildflowers documentary (details here) and the news that Wildflowers will be reissued as a special 2LP One-Step vinyl release in October, via Because Sounds Matters and Warner Records.
Limited to 6,000 numbered copies, this pressing has been cut directly from the original master tapes by engineer Chris Bellman, overseen by Petty’s longtime audio engineer Ryan Ulyate and cut for a true all-analog presentation with exceptional clarity and depth. Housed inside a high quality, uniquely designed and numbered slipcase, the enclosed LP packaging will feature a double-pocket gatefold tip-on jacket.

The details are summarised below:
- Audio Source: Original Analog Master Tapes
- Vinyl Compound: Neotech VR900-D2 180g High Performance Vinyl
- Vinyl Mastering: Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering
- One-Step Process: Dorin Sauerbier at Record Technology, Inc.
- Pressing: Record Technology, Inc.

Sadly, these are only available in America, via Petty’s US store (although they will ship worldwide) but SDE has a copy to give away to a lucky reader!
