Paul, did you ask whether the vinyl box was half-speed mastered and/or whether 24/96 WAV downloads will be available with the vinyl?

SimonP

Great trailer, really makes me want to see the rest. I’d like the CD set, too, but don’t wanna cough up 90 quid for it, so I hope it’s not one of those that gets deleted before the price drops!

Philip G

Can’t wait to see this. Hopefully they’ll touch on why they didn’t do gigs back in the ’80s – always mystified me, as they are terrific to see play live now. Glenn has a fantastic stage presence (and I strongly recommend catching him sing Bowie songs with Holy Holy if you can).

BTW, the onstage banter between Glenn and Martyn is always a treat!

Rudi

Would love to have the two Honeyroot releases on vinyl as well. Those albums are really fab

James

I sense another SDE interview booklet on the horizon, snug enough to fit into the upcoming box.

Jan V

A booklet, good idea!

jsd

Kudos Paul, this looks fantastic. Can’t wait. Thanks.

daveyman19

excellent – can’t wait for the full interview. saw them live at sheffield o2 in december – great homecoming gig and i sang my bloody heart out to every song! also wish they’d do some new material, it’d be great to hear where their sound is at now.

Robert Atkin

No mention of the album or ep that was released featuring a number cover versions. The songs all had different guest female vocalists and it was issued under the moniker British Electronic Foundation (BEF). I cannot remember the title, but issued possibly after Penthouse and Pavement.

Auntie Sabtina

1982’s Music Of Quality And Distinction Volume 1 featured Tina Turner, Sandie Shaw, Paula Yates and Bernie Nolan!

Stanley

Any chance for a B. E. F. Box set as well?

Neil

A box set was released in 2011. How did you miss that ?

Gerd

There is one already: B.E.F. 1981 -2011

Schu

Cool! And direct from the SDE sofa where only the heavy hitters get air time. Looking forward to it.

Willy

Has anyone heard John Shuttleworth’s Lounge Music radio show with guests Heaven 17? It is hilarious, particularly John’s Heaven 17 medley into which he slips ‘Don’t You Want Me’.

Mike the Fish

I wasn’t aware of that episode. Love that Don’t You Want Me Gag! May have to see if it’s still on iplayer.

Willy

It is on YouTube… not sure if I am allowed to post links here but search for:

“JOHN SHUTTLEWORTH’S LOUNGE MUSIC S1E2”

Ype

Fantastic, the deserve all the exposure they can get. Can’t wait for the full interview!

DonnieBiscuits

I’m a little out of the loop, what happened to Mr Ian Craig Marsh? I know he dropped out around 2008 but anyone have any updates. Crushed by the wheels of the music industry?

DJM

This interview is going to be a must-watch. You could meet a nicer couple of fellas, and what Mr. Ware doesn’t know about music isn’t worth knowing.

And on a related note, as a lifelong fan I am bloody delighted with the newfound success they’ve received over the last 6 or 7 years. Well deserved, and well overdue!

Trash

Yep totally agree with all you wrote.
Around the time of Bigger than America I got to know Martyn a little (originally through helping him sort out problems with his Psion Organiser). All the guys from Heaven 17 were really nice and friendly and Martyn in particular gave this awe-struck fan a lot of time.
I believe I still have his and Glen’s phone numbers in my phone. Wouldn’t dare to ring them though :-)

Kauwgompie

Great teaser! Can’t wait to watch it. I pre-ordered the signed box. Will be able to get it much cheaper in 6 months or so but the signed version will then be sold out. So either pay full price with signatures or low price without. Dilemma’s.

Gary Hunter

Really looking forward to watching the interview :)

Regan Judson

Can’t wait to watch this and my box is already on pre-order!

Rickjapan

Ditto!
