Manic Street Preachers / Generation Terrorists reissue track listing

Today, we can reveal the full track listing for the Manic Street Preachers three-disc ‘Legacy Edition’ of the Generation Terrorists reissue.

The second CD is packed full of unreleased demos while the DVD includes a documentary, home movie footage, promo videos (including two new ones) plus various BBC TV performances.

A limited Collector’s Edition – 3CD/DVD/Book/10” Vinyl will also be available via the band’s web store. Details of that have yet to be released.

To mark the 40th anniversary of their formation in Stockport in 1972, Universal will release a five-disc box set entitled Tenology by 10cc on 19 November 2012.

The Rolling Stones / Charlie Is My Darling 5-disc super deluxe set
A 1965 Rolling Stones documentary Charlie Is My Darling is being released as an expanded super deluxe edition box set on 5 November 2012.

The film captures the band on tour in Ireland in September 1965 – we see them traveling, rehearsing, and also get to see some clips (incomplete) of them performing songs on stage such as Get Off My Cloud, Heart Of Stone, and Play With Fire. The documentary also includes an interview with Brian Jones.

This film only ever had a few theatrical screenings and was rarely seen. Now restored and it will be released on DVD, blu-ray and this five-disc super deluxe edition. The super deluxe version will contain the DVD, the blu-ray director’s/ producer’s cut, two CDs and a vinyl LP.

Major record labels cling to blockbuster albums like a toddler clings to a security blanket. They just don’t want to let go. In an uncertain world full of fickle fans and bleak economic conditions there is always someone who wants to buy Rumours or The Dark Side Of The Moon. The big corporations would prefer to give the public what they know they like, not what they might like.
