Bon Jovi’s self-titled debut album is being reissued as an expanded 2CD set to mark its 40th anniversary.
The 1984 album has been remastered, and there’s nine bonus tracks on CD 2, with five of them previously unreleased.
The second disc features the ‘evolution’ of the single ‘Runaway’ the band’s first top 40 hit in America. In similar reminiscent of Peter Gabriel’s So DNA bonus material, the listener goes from Jon’s original cassette writing demo to an extended version with a previously unheard second guitar solo.
The four live performances from the band’s shows in Tokyo, have been newly mixed for this release.
Bon Jovi 2CD set will be issued on 22 November 2024, via UMR.
