Bon Jovi / Slippery When Wet reissue

2CD deluxe & vinyl picture disc

Bon Jovi’s breakthrough album, 1986’s Slippery When Wet, will be reissued next month across a number of physical formats.

The band’s third studio album, which features the classics ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’, ‘You Give Love A Bad Name’ and ‘Wanted Dead Or Alive’ will be available as a 2CD set, with rare and unreleased bonus tracks, and as a limited edition vinyl picture disc, limited to 1500 copies, via Universal Music/band channels.

The new 2CD set

Highlights on the bonus disc include a new extended mix of ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’ (the ‘Thank You Goodnight Mix’), an acoustic version of ‘Wanted Dead Or Alive’ and some live tracks from the Slippery When Wet tour.

Other formats for this new campaign include a cassette tape and a “liquid disc” vinyl version (limited to 1300 copies). A blu-ray of Slippery When Wet was actually released back in 2015 which featured a 5.1 mix and five promo videos, but there’s no such format this time around. There is actually an Atmos Mix on streaming, although it’s not clear when this emerged.

Slippery When Wet will be reissued on 28 February 2025, via UMR.

The vinyl picture disc can be pre-ordered from the Sound of Vinyl in the UK and in the US.
