“Where have all Papa’s heroes gone?” Young Americans remains one of David Bowie’s very best albums and he made a lot of good ones. Two 50th anniversary vinyl editions are out this week.
Jethro Tull’s new album features nine tracks varying in length from two and half minutes to almost seventeen minutes. Musicians include former keyboardist Andrew Giddings and drummer James Duncan, along with the current band members David Goodier, John O’Hara, Scott Hammond and, making his recording debut with the band, guitarist Jack Clark. Loads of formats, the pick of which is probably the 2CD+blu-ray large format ‘artbook’ edition which amongst the extras include an Atmos Mix by Bruce Soord of The Pineapple Thief.
Eric Burdon & WAR – The Complete CD Collection contains the full albums from 1970 and 1976: Eric Burdon Declares War, Black Man’s Burdon (2CD set), and Love Is All Around. All audio was remastered by Bernie Grundman.
