Ozzy Osbourne dies aged 76
1948-2025

Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne has died at the age of 76.
The Osbourne family released the following statement: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”
‘The Dark Prince’ performed his final concert with Black Sabbath just over two weeks ago, on 5 July, and the venue was appropriate: Villa Park in Birmingham, Osbourne’s hometown! He needed to be seated for the show due to the Parkinson’s disease he was diagnosed with in 2019.
Ozzy was lead vocalist on eight Black Sabbath albums from 1970 to 1978 and in 1980 kicked off his solo career with Blizzard of Ozz. He released 12 more studio albums and found time for a 2013 Sabbath studio album called 13.
Ozzy went on to achieve a wider celebrity status, beyond music fans, early in the Millennium thanks to the reality show The Osbournes, which became a massive hit for MTV and ran for three years (between 2002 and 2005).
