As revealed by SDE yesterday, Paul McCartney’s new album is called The Boys of Dungeon Lane and it will be released at the end of May.
The album is described as “a collection of rare and revealing glimpses into memories never-before shared” and the album features 14 new songs and finds Paul “writing with rare openness about his childhood in post-war Liverpool, the resilience of his parents, and early adventures shared with George Harrison and John Lennon long before the world had ever heard of Beatlemania”. The first single is called acoustic number called, ‘Days We Left Behind’ which Paul describes as a “memory song”.
Both CD and vinyl editions feature embossed cover artwork and the vinyl includes a 12-page lyric booklet (obviously the CD will have a booklet too). There may well be more to come (!) but at the time of writing formats are black vinyl and indie pink vinyl (the latter is available to pre-order from the SDE shop using this link or the button below).
Update: HMV has red vinyl, McCartney’s store has green, Rough Trade: gold and Amazon has white vinyl variants.
The Boys of Dungeon Lane will be released on 29 May 2026, via EMI.
