Erasure / Radio!! Radio!!

Erasure will release Radio!! Radio!!, their 20th (!) studio album in March next year.

The album hosts “more personal, more reflective songwriting”, with frontman Andy Bell acknowledging that it would be easier, perhaps, for he and Vince Clarke to go on autopilot, 40 years into their career. “It’s a two-person brain, and everything that we’ve gone through comes into it,” he says. “We have a sense of responsibility. We couldn’t ever do something throwaway.”

The album apparently melds the band’s synth-pop palette with acoustic instrumentals such as piano and acoustic guitar, although this is not particularly apparent from Wings Of Love, which you can listen to, above.

The 10-track album is available on CD and sunburst coloured vinyl with vinyl picture disc, cassette editions and CDs with alt artwork on the band’s store (Lexer Music). Rough Trade has red and yellow splatter vinyl limited to 500 units.

Radio!! Radio!! will be released on 12 March 2027, via Mute.
