Frankie Round Table: “Inside the Pleasuredome” team talk to SDE

The efforts of these four men together led to the creation of the 30th anniversary Inside The Pleasuredome box set which was sold and marketed via PledgeMusic. Part one of a fascinating insight to the whole process is below…

interstellar

Having seen Christopher Nolan’s excellent Interstellar on an IMAX screen on Monday (highly recommended) I thought I’d seek out the similarly excellent Hans Zimmer soundtrack. Of course, in this multi-edition age, that proved more complicated and frustrating than I imagined and so thought I’d share my findings…

Imogen Heap on Sparks deluxe box

bsi_imghp60_xtra_large

I am at Imogen Heap‘s house. She is making me a cup of tea and we are talking Dualit toasters. This homely scene is rather surreal and hardly typical of modern ‘pop stars’, but then Heap doesn’t bother trying to conform, as becomes apparent during our conversation.

A case in point is her new album Sparks. We are here to discuss the deluxe box set version which is truly amazing [Andy Carne who designed the set has just been nominated for a Grammy for his work on this project], not only in terms of audio and video content, but also in the way that Heap has engaged with and involved her fans in the project.
