Kim Wilde’s 1988 album Close will be reissued as a 2CD+DVD deluxe set, in March.
The album delivered five singles, three of which (‘You Came’, ‘Never Trust A Stranger’ and ‘Four Letter Word’) were top 10 hits in the UK.
The audio has been remastered for this reissue and CD 1 appends nine bonus tracks (B-sides and single edits) to the album. The second disc offers 13 bonus remixes. The bonus content across both CDs is identical to the 2013 2CD deluxe that Universal put out, except for the addition of two ‘You Came’ instrumentals. It’s worth noting that the original CD of Close included 11 tracks, not 10, due to a single bonus track (‘Hey Mister Heartache (12″ Mix)’).
The DVD is the big draw here, with promo videos, footage from the Michael Jackson’s Bad Tour and a selection of BBC archive videos featuring Kim performing on popular TV Shows like Wogan, Top Of The Pops and Going Live!
Close will be reissued on 13 March 2026, via Cherry Red. Vinyl pre-order links coming soon.
