Pink Floyd acknowledge blu-ray issues with The Early Years and will replace
After complaints from fans, Pink Floyd have admitted that “a small batch” of faulty blu-ray discs have been identified in their Early Years box set, but say this “could not have been predicted”. They are offering fans replacement discs…
In a post on their website under the title “Replacement of faulty Early Years discs” the band posted the following statement:
“Following reported problems from fans, a small batch of faulty Blu-ray discs from the Early Years 1965-1972 box set have been identified: the 1972 ‘Obfusc/ation’ Blu-ray and bonus package ‘Continu/ation’ Blu-ray 1.
A disc replacement service has now been set up via fulfilment house Docdata. Purchasers with a non-playing copy of PFREY6BD or PREFY7BD1 should contact them at [email protected] and they will arrange a replacement disc.
We apologise for the inconvenience and stress that this may have caused to box purchasers, although we have ascertained that this unavoidable damage could not have been predicted.”
The Early Years 1965 – 1972 was released on 11 November 2016.
