Richard Barbieri will release Hauntings, his first studio album in five years, in April.
While Barbieri has yet to release any full songs from the new album, a video trailer posted by the synth wizard’s label Kscope (see below) suggests that the album will develop the foreboding and atmospheric soundscapes of his previous album, 2021’s Under A Spell.
Along with Babieri’s trademark sound designs and electronics, Hauntings features performances from Morgan Agren (drums and percussion), Percy Jones (bass guitar) and Luca Calabrese (trumpet).
Intrigued Barbieri fans can order Hauntings on a range of formats: a 2LP vinyl set (red or black vinyl), CD+Blu-ray edition with Dolby Atmos, 5.1 surround & hi-res stereo mixes or a trusty single CD version.
Hauntings will be released on 10 April 2026, via Kscope.
