Bryan Adams’ 15th studio album was announced back in October 2021. Since then there have been four digital singles and surprisingly the signed CD is still available via Amazon in the UK.
Leonard Cohen / Songs of Love and Hate (vinyl reissue)
Mercuriadis’ Hipgnosis has just acquired Leonard Cohen’s song catalogue which still constantly gets reissued by Sony. This week sees the Canadian’s third studio, 1971’s Songs of Love and Hate, put out again on vinyl. Ostensibly a 50th anniversary edition, this features ‘Famous Blue Raincoat’ and ‘Last Year’s Man’ although there’s no sign of ‘Dress Rehearsal Rag (early version)’ which was a bonus track on the 2007 CD reissue. It’s also black vinyl until the white ‘Black Friday’ edition which was issued in the US last year.
Alexandre Desplat / The French Dispatch (2LP vinyl)
The CD was issued a while back, but this week sees the 2LP vinyl edition of the music to Wes Anderson‘s latest film The French Dispatch. Music by Alexandre Desplat with piano solos by Jean-Ives Thibaudet.
