New Stephen Street stereo mix • Bonus tracks

The Cranberries / If Everybody Else Is Doing It, Why Can't We? 2026 reissue

New stereo mix by Stephen Street plus previously released B-sides, live tracks • 3LP/2CD

The Cranberries have announced several new editions of their 1993 debut Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?.

The Irish grunge-pop act, fronted by Dolores O’Riordan, broke on to the scene in October 1992 with their debut single ‘Dreams’, which peaked at No 27 in the UK chart and was swiftly followed by ‘Linger’ (No 14). The singles helped their debut album Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? to (ahem) linger around the chart for over a year, eventually selling over half a million in the UK. Meanwhile, they became alt-rock stars in the US, with the album selling over five million.

The new “33rd anniversary deluxe edition” comes in a variety of physical formats:

  • 2CD / 3LP: Original album newly remastered; original album remixed by original producer Stephen Street’; B-sides; live tracks; ‘Linger’ remix by Iain Cook of Chvrches
  • CD / Vinyl LP: Original album newly remastered
  • LP: Vinylphile pressing [US only] cut directly from the original master tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl

Fans who already have the 2018 super deluxe edition of the album might be forgiven for feeling underwhelmed – that version added early demos, 1990’s Uncertain EP, B-sides and a disc full of live tracks and radio sessions. This time around, the main draw is the new Stephen Street stereo remix – all of the B-sides featured on the 2018 edition, the four live tracks are taken from the 1994 Astoria II gig previously released as the VHS/DVD Live, and the new remixes won’t set the pulses of long-time fans racing. Meanwhile, a remastered Uncertain EP will be released with no extra tracks as a 12-inch single.

The 3LP version appears to be D2C only, and as stated above, the audiophile ‘Vinylphile’ edition is only available in the US. Given that Stephen Street has created a new stereo mix, there is a high chance of a new Atmos Mix appearing around the time of release.

Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? is released on 22 May 2026 via Island/UMe
