Here is an early look at the packaging for the 2CD+DVD ‘Legacy Edition’ of the Manic Street Preachers Generation Terrorists reissue.
Fans will note that the packaging is consistent with the tenth anniversary editions of both The Holy Bible and Everything Must Go with the folding ten panel digipak slotting into an outer slipcase. Like those previous issues this Legacy Edition will have two booklets glued in place to the end panels. If you haven’t seen the track listing there are details here.
In addition to the Legacy Edition the reissue is also available as an expanded Collector’s Edition box set. Both sets are out on 5th November 2012.

OUT TODAY from Rhino, Chicago: The Studio Albums 1969-1978. Ten albums from the American rock band presented in simple card sleeves (no gatefolds) in a rigid clam-shell style box.
The contents and track listing can be viewed on the photo below.
On 19 November 2012 The Who will issue a single disc MONO CD of their 1965 debut My Generation.
The mono version has been issued a few times over the last few years, on various reissues (mainly in Japan), but this release will see the original mono mix widely available to all, at a low price.
The original Mono version is though to be as close as possible to how the band envisaged it sounding in the studio and contains overdubs which were lost in previous Stereo masterings.
This CD completes a busy autumn release schedule for the band, with the Live in Texas DVD already out, and the Live In Hull and Studio Albums vinyl box due soon.
Track listing:
Virgin Records will release a vinyl box set of the Genesis 1976-1982 studio albums collection on 5 November 2012. The five albums will all be pressed on heavyweight vinyl with the original artwork being replicated.
Albums in the box are A Trick Of A Tail (1976), Wind & Wuthering (1976), And Then There Were Three (1978), Duke (1980) and Abacab (1981).
Pre-order links are below. We’d advise checking out the German amazon link, which at the time of writing is a full £50 cheaper than the UK site, offering the box for a very attractive £70 price tag (€88).
Eric Clapton‘s 1977 album Slowhand is being released as a super deluxe edition box set (and other formats) on 19 November to celebrate its 35th anniversary.
The album includes of two of Clapton’s best known songs Wonderful Tonight, and the cover of J.J. Cale’s Cocaine.
The Super Deluxe box set includes three previously unreleased session outtakes (four in total) and two CDs are devoted to presenting the complete 14-track performance of the Hammersmith Odeon concert on 27 April 1977.
The record has been remastered from the original Olympic Studios 1/4″ flat analog master tapes and the session tracks and live performances are newly mixed from the original two-inch analogue tapes. This all sounds very promising from a sound perspective.
Probably the most exciting aspect is the audio-only DVD that comes only with this super deluxe box. This disc offers the album in 5.1 surround sound (not hi-res) and a hi-res stereo version.
Finally, included with the super deluxe edition, is a LP version of the remastered album, pressed on 180g heavyweight vinyl, three replica tour programmes from the period and a book featuring a behind-the-scene look at the recording.

Original issue artwork will be meticulously replicated with Tommy boasting the six-panel fold out and 12-page colour booklet; Face Dances comes with the 24″ x 24″ poster of the album cover and Sell Out likewise comes with the 20″ x 30″ poster found in the original pressings.
