Boney M / The Magic of Boney M Vinyl

Sony release a new 2LP coloured vinyl edition of classic Boney M. compilation The Magic of Boney M. By no means essential, but it’s fairly well priced for what it is and if you have a Boney M.-shaped hole in your vinyl collection, you know what to do! There’s also a CD edition.

Pearl Jam / Rear View Mirror (Greatest Hits) 2LP vinyl

Pearl Jam’s 2004 ‘best of’ is issued on vinyl for the first time outside the USA. This was originally a 4LP set but 18 years later, these have been split into two separate volumes. Volume 1 (“Up”) contains the band’s heavier rock songs, while the Volume 2 (“Down”) consists of slower songs and ballads. You can’t pick up the original US pressing on Discogs for less than £250, so this is great for fans.

King Rocker DVD+CD

King Rocker, the acclaimed Michael Cumming and Stewart Lee documentary film about Robert Lloyd and cult Birmingham band The Nightingales, is issued as a DVD+CD ‘bookback’ deluxe package. Includes the film, over 90-minutes of extras and the soundtrack CD. Note: the DVD is PAL, region 0.

Debbie Gibson / Anything Is Possible (2CD deluxe)

The third in Cherry Red’s Debbie Gibson reissue series. This special 2CD edition of her 1990 album, Anything is Possible, includes a whole disc of remixes by Masters at Work, PWL and Jellybean along with some non-album tracks.

Demon Records presents the debut Doctor Who adventure by Douglas Adams, which stars Tom Baker as the Doctor. On the hunt for the Key to Time, the Doctor, Romana and K9 materialise on the planet Calufrax – or do they? Entangled in local events, they are caught between the bombastic Captain – half-man, half-machine – and the sinister Mentiads. Presented on ‘Sky Demon’ 2LP splatter vinyl.
