Madonna / Erotica Vinyl

Originally withdrawn in 1992, Warners finally issue the 12-inch picture disc version of Madonna’s Erotica single for the song’s 30th anniversary. While Madonna sucks toes you may be sucking in air through your teeth when you see the price.

David Sylvian reissues his Blemish and Manafon albums on vinyl.

Lou Reed / Words and Music, May 1965

Light in the Attic, in cooperation with Laurie Anderson, kick of a Lou Reed reissue campaign with Words and Music, May 1965. Capturing him in his formative years, this previously unreleased collection of songs – penned by a young Lou Reed, recorded to tape with the help of future bandmate John Cale, and mailed to himself as a “poor man’s copyright” – remained sealed in it’s original envelope and unopened for nearly 50 years. The CD has 17 tracks, and initially comes in a die-cut sleeve with a 60-page booklet. The the vinyl has 10 tracks and a 20-page booklet.

Olivia Newton-John’s Greatest Hits (CD reissue)

When originally released in 1977, Olivia Newton-John’s first hits collection was issued in five different international editions each with its own unique track listing. This new deluxe reissue combines all of the various editions into one all encompassing, definitive version. Therefore, Olivia Newton-John’s Greatest Hits contains a total of 20 tracks all remastered from the original tapes. It’s available on CD or 2LP vinyl.


Jean-Michel Jarre / Oxymore

New studio album from Jean-Michel Jarre (his 22nd). It’s a homage to the French composer Pierre Henry and while it has “been conceived as an immersive work in a multi-channel and 3D binaural version” there doesn’t appear to be any physical spatial audio product, which is weird, just CD and vinyl. Sort it out, Jarre!


Kylie Minogue / Impossible Princess

First time on vinyl for Kylie’s sixth studio album as it is reissued with its original title and pressed on limited violet marbled LP in a gatefold sleeve with an embossed art card.

Norah Jones / I Dream of Christmas (deluxe)

A new 2CD deluxe of Norah Jones’ 2021 festive album adds bonus tracks including some live performances from he Empire State Building). That’s actually a double-vinyl deluxe as well.
