The Tears For Fears Songs From The Big Chair reissue will finally be released in just over a week’s time.
As well as the 6-disc super deluxe box set (and other editions) the 1985 album is also being released on the Pure Audio hi-res blu-ray audio format. This will arguably be the best ever Pure Audio to be released since the format launched in late 2012 because it includes three versions of the blockbuster album; the original 1985 mix remastered, a brand new stereo remix for 2014 and a 5.1 surround sound remix.

Peter Gabriel is hitting the road again this winter for further European Back to Front dates and each show will be recorded live off the soundboard, and mixed by Peter’s Front of House engineer for more Encore Series releases.
All 18 shows will be available to purchase separately as two-CD sets or for the real die-hard enthusiast you can purchase all the shows as one of two collector’s sets.

Band on the Run (Deluxe)A predictable, yet worthy album to kick off the archive collection, Band On The Run has long been the yardstick by which Macca’s post-Beatles efforts have been judged.
The content of the 3CD+DVD deluxe version set the tone for the reissues that followed with some key missing content (the original quad mix), alongside tracks that most fans didn’t really need (the audio documentary on CD3 which was the bonus disc from the 25th Anniversary set).

Let’s be honest, Edsel were probably regretting putting quite so much content on their 2011 deluxe reissue of Suede‘s 1994 album Dog Man Star when they sat down to discuss a possible 20th anniversary set only a few years down the line.
The previous 2CD+DVD reissue crammed in an incredible amount of content, including all the B-sides/extra tracks, unreleased demos, fan-club only bonus tracks, rare live footage on the DVD and Messrs Anderson and Butler on camera discussing the making of the record. It wasn’t perfect; the ‘long’ version of non-album single Stay Together was slightly edited, some thought the remastering a bit ‘hot’ and those fragile spines on the digi-packs were prone to creasing, but for the most part Suede fans were in dreamland and it was an amazing package.

Second wave of Led Zeppelin reissues. As before, the albums in question – this time Led Zeppelin IV and Houses of the Holy – come as super deluxe box sets and deluxe CD and vinyl editions all with companion discs of unreleased audio. 
Arguably the dream price and format for a single album reissue. XTC do it again after last year’s exemplary Nonsuch with this reissue of their third album Drums and Wires. The Blu-ray (or DVD-A) offers a feast of 5.1 remixes, demos, instrumentals, videos, rehearsal tape audio and more.
These new Wedding Present reissues offer an incredible amount of bonus material with each album now a 3CD+DVD set. Frontman David Gedge has personally overseen these and it seems as if the wait has been worthwhile.
Although we reviewed the George Harrison Apple Years 1968-75 box set earlier this month, at that point we didn’t have the opportunity to show you an SDE photo gallery of the box.
We are pleased to correct this now and below you will find an extensive collection of images from the box itself to the hardback book and each individual album (with images of inner sleeves, gatefold artwork and booklets).
