The deluxe edition of Pink Floyd’sAnimals reissue is out this week. It’s a CD+blu-ray+DVD+LP set. The duplication of blu-ray and DVD feels a little bit ‘2018’ which makes sense because that’s when this was conceived. A reminder that you can still order the blu-ray audio edition directly from SDE.
Suede’s ninth studio album sees them going ‘back to basics’ with frontman Brett Anderson describing Autofiction as “Our punk record. No whistles and bells”. Early notices suggest this has worked.

Creedence Clearwater Revival’s legendary performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 1970 is finally officially released. It features the gig in its entirety with a setlist that includes enduring hits such as ‘Fortunate Son’, ‘Proud Mary’ and ‘Bad Moon Rising’. The documentary Travelin’ Band: Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Royal Albert Hall, (narrated by Jeff Bridges) features the entire concert on film and is included in the box set which is released this week.
Marillion’s 1991 album Holidays in Eden is reissued as a deluxe edition across 3CD+blu-ray and 4LP vinyl formats. The blu-ray in the CD set has a ludicrous amount of content!
Vince Guaraldi/A Charlie Brown ChristmasCD, Vinyl, Box Set, Blu-ray
The 4CD+blu-ray super deluxe edition of Vince Guaraldi’s score from the classic 1965 animated Peanuts special, A Charlie Brown Christmas, is released this week. It features hours of newly unearthed session tapes from Fantasy Records’ vaults and a Dolby Atmos Mix and hi-res stereo mixes.
Janet Jackson/Japanese Singles Collection: Greatest HitsCD, DVD
The Japanese Singles Collection releases now focus on Janet Jackson. This is a 2CD+DVD set and the DVD has been confirmed as NTSC, region-free. This set has already been issued in some regions but in the UK is out this week.
Joe Strummer 002: The Mescaleros Years (deluxe sets)
Best known as the frontman for The Clash, between 1999-2002 Joe Strummer recorded with The Mescaleros. Joe Strummer 002: The Mescaleros Years is the first comprehensive collection highlighting this short but intense period of creativity. It includes the albums Rock Art and the X-Ray Style (1999), Global A Go-Go (2001), the posthumous Streetcore (2003), and Vibes Compass, a brand-new compilation of 15 B-sides and rarities, including never before heard tracks like ‘Ocean of Dreams’ (featuring Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols on guitar) and early demos.
Both the 4CD and 7LP boxes include four reproduction lyric sheets and chord charts, and the LP box includes an exclusive 12”x12” art print.
A State Of Grace is the long-awaited new album from The House of Love. It was written and recorded by Guy Chadwick between COVID lockdowns. Chadwick says: “It is the best set of songs I have written for years and the pandemic ironically gave me the time and space to develop and arrange the songs”.
Fourth studio album by the American rock band Wilco is reissued as two enormous super deluxe editions. The 8CDs or 12LPs include demos, drafts and instrumentals, charting the making of ‘Yankee Hotel Foxtrot’ – plus a live 2002 concert recording and a September 2001 radio performance and interview.
