Prince‘s 1987 album Sign O’ The Times is reissued by Warner Records and amongst the formats are two enormous CD and vinyl super deluxe editions that offer a massive 63 previously unreleased tracks, including 45 studio ‘vault’ tracks.

Deep Cuts, Rarities and B-sides • 8CD box and vinyl variants
Elton John delves deep into his archive for a new 8CD box set called Elton: Jewel Box, which features an astonishing amount of rarities, deep cuts and B-sides.
This collection contains 148 songs spanning 1965 to 2019, of which 60 are previously unreleased. The first two CDs feature ‘Deep Cuts‘, a selection of personal favourites curated by Elton himself and what follows that are three CDs of Rarities. The rarities include many, many piano demos and band demos mostly recorded before he was signed or had released his first album, Empty Sky, in 1969.
First book by the Fab Four in over 20 years
The Beatles will release a new book next year called Get Back, which focuses on the sessions for their 1970 album Let It Be and will coincide with the release of Peter Jackson’s much anticipated documentary film The Beatles: Get Back.

Superb alternate rendition of the 1989 single
When I was helping to research the archive audio for the forthcoming Tears For Fears The Seeds of Love reissue, we discovered that Roland Orzabal had a box full of DAT tapes which featured live-in-the-studio renditions of some songs from the album – largely ‘Badman’s Song’ and ‘Woman in Chains’!
These were duly despatched to Abbey Road Studios to be transferred and yours truly had the job of going through something like 23 hours of sessions to see if there was anything that would be suitable for release in the box set. Today, for the first time, you can hear one of those tracks – Woman in Chains.
