Miles Davis‘ genre-busting 1970 classic Bitches Brew is issued as a multi-channel SACD which features the QUAD mix on the multi-channel layer, and a hi-res stereo 2018 remaster “derived from the original analog masters” on the stereo layer.
After the Record Store Day white vinyl, the Human League‘s 2001 album Secrets will be reissued on black vinyl in September.

When Suede‘s 1993 debut was reissued for its 25th anniversary back in March, there was no vinyl edition, although a 2LP set pressed on silver/grey vinyl eventually emerged for Record Store Day, in April. Next month, that same edition will emerge on black vinyl and be widely available.

There’s nothing like being on holiday and having the whole family together in a rental car to bring to the fore ‘discussions’ about music. This happened to me recently as my eldest daughter (15) was grumpily decreeing that she didn’t want to listen to “old man’s music” and insisting that she ‘pairs’ mum’s phone (which had some of her favourite artists on it) via bluetooth to the vehicle’s audio system, so we can listen to her stuff. No way, Jose. I’m the driver, I’m in charge (and no one else can work out how to use the stereo anyway!).
