Simple Minds‘ 1982 album gets ‘the full monty’ treatment with a box that delivers virtually everything you could want, including a 5.1 mix of New Gold Dream. 
Fleetwood Mac‘s 1982 album is available in two-disc deluxe and five-disc super deluxe edition configurations… Lots of rare tracks including outtakes and rarities, early versions of several album tracks; outtakes for songs that didn’t make it to the album; UPDATE: Rhino have this morning confirmed that this is delayed until September (regardless of what HMV and Amazon say).

Here’s a weird one. Collected is a new three-CD Level 42 compilation that purports to gather up “the first time” all of the singles from the band in their original single versions released between 1979 and 2013. Sounds great, but at the moment it’s only being issued by Universal Music The Netherlands (go figure), although as you might expect, it’s not too hard to get hold off for fans everywhere else….

Peter Gabriel‘s 1986 album So is 30 years old this year, but it’s not afforded any kind of deluxe reissue, presumably because Gabriel thinks he got that job done back in 2012. That set, as any longtime SDE reader will be all too aware, was more than a little flawed and it’s still extremely frustrating that all those B-sides, remixes and a 5.1 mix (which apparently exists) have not yet surfaced on a So celebratory release.
