Soundgarden will release a new rarities collection in November titled Echo Of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across The Path.
This three-CD set charts the band’s 26-year history via B-sides, instrumentals, and demos. It also features seven unreleased tracks including a brand-new recording, Storm, that was recorded in Seattle back in May with producer Jack Endino.

A new Stranglers collection will be released in the UK later this month that compiles the band’s B-sides from the Epic Years (1983-1991).
The 40-track collection – which was available in some territories earlier this year – spans two CDs and includes the saga of ‘Vladimir’ which featured on a few different singles back in the day.

The 11th edition of Bob Dylan‘s long running Bootleg Series is a fan’s dream since it contains 138-tracks, or “every salvageable recording”, from the infamous Basement Tapes Sessions recorded with The Band in 1967 . 
Paul McCartney’s mid-1970s Wings albums – Venus and Mars and Wings at the Speed of Sound – get the deluxe treatment with lavish books featuring memorabilia, masses of archive photos and the story behind each album. Cheaper 2CD sets also available.
50 Years of The Who celebrated with this new two-CD compilation which features an interesting selection of single edits and mono versions. A double vinyl version will follow early next year.

The Tears For Fears Songs From The Big Chair reissue will finally be released in just over a week’s time.
As well as the 6-disc super deluxe box set (and other editions) the 1985 album is also being released on the Pure Audio hi-res blu-ray audio format. This will arguably be the best ever Pure Audio to be released since the format launched in late 2012 because it includes three versions of the blockbuster album; the original 1985 mix remastered, a brand new stereo remix for 2014 and a 5.1 surround sound remix.

Band on the Run (Deluxe)A predictable, yet worthy album to kick off the archive collection, Band On The Run has long been the yardstick by which Macca’s post-Beatles efforts have been judged.
The content of the 3CD+DVD deluxe version set the tone for the reissues that followed with some key missing content (the original quad mix), alongside tracks that most fans didn’t really need (the audio documentary on CD3 which was the bonus disc from the 25th Anniversary set).

Let’s be honest, Edsel were probably regretting putting quite so much content on their 2011 deluxe reissue of Suede‘s 1994 album Dog Man Star when they sat down to discuss a possible 20th anniversary set only a few years down the line.
The previous 2CD+DVD reissue crammed in an incredible amount of content, including all the B-sides/extra tracks, unreleased demos, fan-club only bonus tracks, rare live footage on the DVD and Messrs Anderson and Butler on camera discussing the making of the record. It wasn’t perfect; the ‘long’ version of non-album single Stay Together was slightly edited, some thought the remastering a bit ‘hot’ and those fragile spines on the digi-packs were prone to creasing, but for the most part Suede fans were in dreamland and it was an amazing package.
