Steven Wilson to release an ‘Ultra Deluxe’ box set limited to one unit

Steven Wilson has announced details of a unique special edition of his forthcoming sixth album The Future Bites.

What he is calling an ‘ULTRA DELUXE MUSIC PRODUCT ON OBSOLETE MEDIA’ is a special box set edition of the album which is a limited edition of one and has a price tag of £10,000 (with all proceeds going directly to the Music Venue Trust to help save grassroots gig venues in the UK).

Saturday Deluxe / 14 November 2020

Things are quite confusing with Neil Young and his Archives II box set. As you may know, this 10CD deluxe set was announced as a 3,000 limited edition and sold out almost immediately. Neil Young and Reprise Records were surprised, but a few weeks ago the Canadian singer-songwriter said that “we don’t feel that offering more of a product sold as a limited edition is a good thing to do” and the plan was that a cheaper and less deluxe ‘retail’ version would be produced in a smaller box, with a smaller book and that would have to do.

Del Amitri / Fatal Mistakes

Scottish band Del Amitri return with a new album, Fatal Mistakes, in the first part of next year.

This will be the band’s seventh studio album and their first since 2002’s Can You Do Me Good? The band went on a long hiatus after that record, but hit the road for reunion tours in 2014 and 2018.
