Michael Mertens, who was in the band and composed or co-composed most of the music on Propaganda‘s 1985 album A Secret Wish, has been quick to come out and call the forthcoming reissue ‘pathetic and beyond ridicule’ and has apologised to fans of Propaganda.

Johnny Cash / Unearthed 9LP vinyl box

First time on vinyl for the 2003 box set

The Johnny Cash Unearthed box set was originally issued on CD in 2003, just two months after Cash’s death. Compiled by producer Rick Rubin, this collection contained mostly previously unreleased material recorded during the four albums (a fifth was released posthumously) that Cash had cut with Rubin for his American Recordings label. A new, nine LP vinyl edition of this set is due for release later this month.

War Horse: The Story in Concert: Limited Collector’s Edition

Lavish and creative Collector’s Edition out in December

War Horse, the children’s novel, has to date been adapted to film by Steven Spielberg film and enjoyed an acclaimed National Theatre production. Following the successful concert at the Royal Albert Hall last year, it is now being released (by BMG) as War Horse: The Story in Concert and the label have gone to town on a very special Collector’s Edition which takes the War/Horse theme and runs (gallops) with it.
