Pet Shop Boys / I Don't Wanna CD, Vinyl
The Pet Shop Boys release a fourth single from their Hotspot album. ‘I Don’t Wanna’ will be available on CD single and 12-inch vinyl and extra tracks include a new ‘B-side’ and remixes. The SDE shop has sold out of CDs but we still have some 12-inch vinyl.
Paul’s debut is 50 year’s old today
On this day in 1970 Paul McCartney released McCartney, his first solo album. The record has been reissued on CD and vinyl across various editions over the years and SDE explores some of them with this celebratory video.

SDE lifts the lid on the 2010 box set
Back in 2010, EMI and Yoko Ono masterminded a reissue campaign for John Lennon. There were many physical products issued at the time, including a new best of (Power to the People) a 4CD anthology (Gimme Some Truth), eight albums remastered, a special 2CD version of Double Fantasy featuring a ‘Stripped Down’ remix, and a Signature box set. The best Bill Withers product is back in print
When reflecting on the sad death of Bill Withers recently on Saturday Deluxe, I mentioned that the best item to try and get hold of was the out-of-print Complete Sussex and Columbia Albums nine-CD box set. Well, as it turns out Music On CD were in the process of preparing a reprint (before Bill died) of what was originally a Sony Music product and this will be released next month.

This bank holiday weekend I’ll be sorting out my CDs
It’s a bank holiday weekend in the UK, but of course a very different one since most of us will be in ‘lockdown’ at home, doing our bit to help minimise the spread of the COVID19 virus. With so much time at home, I have plans to reorganise my CDs and not feel guilty about it, but I have to admit I’m slightly depressed at how best to organise and display a lifetime’s collection.
